Obituary for Crystal Lyn Clark (Clark)

Crystal Clark, 44, of New Kensington, passed away on Saturday, February 17 after living a full and gracious life over the course of a 7-year battle with cancer.

Born on September 19, 1979 in New Kensington, Crystal attended Burrell High School, and later Lenape Practical Nursing, where she earned her LPN. She worked for Presbyterian Senior Care, Longwood at Oakmont, and UPMC over a career dedicated to helping others through her profession and natural benevolence.

She is survived by her parents Howard, Jr. (Ken) and Debra Bush; fiancé Steven Green and sons Demetrius and Donavan Green; sisters Tynia Minnick (Chad) and BillieJo Wainwright (Leslie); aunts Rebecca Jensen (Gary), Beth Snyder, Leda Hays (Brian); and uncle, Jeff Bush (Ann). She is also survived by good friend, Sandy Wassel.

Crystal is predeceased by paternal grandparents Howard (Ken) and Marilyn Bush and maternal grandparents Thomas and Evelyn Potter.

Crystal’s perseverance through her long illness is the result of three essential parts of her life: the kind and professional support of Dr. John Lech and the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Natrona Heights; the unwavering support of her family; and her own selfless devotion to living life for her sons.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington (724-335-0100). Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursdayday in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Kilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery.
