So sorry for your loss! As I read Helen’s obituary one of Helen’s qualities that stood out was what a giving person she was.... Helen was so good to our mother Eleanor !
Now our mom has Helen to play bingo with again!
Thoughts and prayers are with you all

From: Chuckie, Marcia, Charlotte, Stevie and Aunt Kay

The wise woman builds her house.. (Proverbs 14:1)
Her worth is far above rubies and jewels... (Proverbs 31:10)
And her lamp does not go out at night. (Proverbs 31:18)

We (Aunt Kay's kids) were in our early adolescent years when Uncle Butchie dated Helen. Our family would be in Oakmont almost every Sunday throughout the year usually on Elm Way where Great Grandma Gray lived. We would sometimes see Helen then and on other occasions like holidays. Even at our young age you could tell they (Butchie & Helen) had a love connection. Eventually, she would become our Aunt and the love we had for our Uncle would be the same love we had for Helen.

Over the years we watched as they created a beautiful blended family...a part of a larger multi-racial family...surely a blessing from God.

Helen!!! you know her name means...a light, bright, a torch. How fitting are these words? For Helen was loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. To all of us she was certainly a LIGHT---that lamp that was always bright even through the longest night. When our Uncle Butchie (your father) needed Helen she was there by his side. When you (her child) needed a Mother's love...Helen would be there with 'tender loving care.'

Why is it that life seems to come and go 'in the twinkling of an eye'? This is hard to understand and never something any of us seem prepared to confront because it sometimes comes when least expected. But, Hallelujah!!!, Hallelujah!!!, in Christ the Lord your mother (Helen) is always with you. Just remember, you must remember, why you loved her so. Remember and aspire to be like her by living with love and light in your life. Helen was more valuable than rubies but even now she resides in a Kingdom whose worth and beauty and peacefulness is far beyond our human comprehension.

We thank the Lord Christ Jesus for Helen's life and the blessing she was to all of us. May God's comforting Holy Spirit be with your family,

Vince &Patty Yaklich

When we were young I remember how beautiful she was. And she always was a beauty. Lots of hugs to her family. I will miss her at our family reunion.
