Obituary for Margaret J Draper (Procter)

Margaret Jane Draper, 92, of Butler, Pa., passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 26, 2021. Margaret was born in Butler on October 1, 1928, to the late Andrew and Mary (Chuley) Procter. She worked at the A&P Store on Wayne St., the Family Drugstore on N. Main St. Ext, and as a stamper/packer at Magnetics in East Butler. Margaret was very active at St. Peters Episcopal Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church, and the Girl Scouts. She was well known for her kitchen parties, making large batches of pierogies, paska, and hardtack candy with friends. She is survived by four of her five children and their spouses, John & Gloria (Santroni) Draper, with whom she made her home, Jill Klann, Jayne Draper, and James & Wendi (Collins) Draper; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. A sister Shirley Proter Tantlinger and a brother Andrew J. Procter along with numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Draper.
