Thomas L. Taylor, 77, died at Weatherwood Manor, Greensburg Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020. He was born in Chatham Village, Pittsburgh, and grew up in Wilton, Conn. Tom was the son of Harold M. and Alice Simons Taylor, who worked in advertising as artists. Tom became an ad executive at Ketchum Advertising and Dymun + Co. Inc, after developing his career at several great ad agencies in NYC during the "Mad Men" era. He graduated from Kenyon College with a BA in English literature. Tom was a fierce fan of the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He will be remembered as a witty and lovely man by friends and family, including his wife, Carolyn Walker Taylor, and his former wife, Janet Taylor Jain. Adult children and their spouses include Christopher C. Taylor, of Sewickley, Elizabeth Hoffman Wheatley (Michael), of Imperial, Dr. Richard C. Hoffman (Renaye), of Greensburg, and Benjamin P. Taylor (Dawn), of Kawasaki City, Japan. He has seven beloved grandchildren, who know him as "Boppo." They are Catherine, Amelia and Andrew Wheatley; Alexander, Abigail and Sarah Hoffman and Winter Taylor. Also surviving are his beloved stepmother, Patricia R. Taylor, of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.; and his caring sister-in-law, Nancy Walker Parry, of Cape Neddick, Maine. A service will be announced at a later date.
