Walter T. Scratchard, 75, of Leechburg, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, in his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 28, 1945 to the late Charles and Dolores Scratchard. He was a proud retired police officer (former chief) and an active member of the FOP and the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club (former President). When he wasn’t working he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, boating, and riding motorcycles. He was the loving father of Debbie Scratchard and Paul (Tammy) Scratchard. He was the proud grandfather to Cassandra (Greg) Cooper, Alan Rossey, and Jesse Sanford. He is also survived by his beautiful great-granddaughter, Tilly, his dear sister, Sandra (William) Sublinsky, several nieces and nephews, and his best buddy, Chewy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert J Scratchard; sister, Suzanne Richter; infant brother, Charles; and his loving ex-wife, Roberta Scatchard. Friends and family are welcome to a Celebration of Life at the K-9 Officer Derek Kotecki Memorial Park pavilions on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 12pm-4pm.
